This noon, my sisters and I, including one who just flew in from Bacolod with her friend, had lunch at Ninyo’s. I was designated to choose the venue for the lunch and of course, I chose Ninyo, it being my favorite for several reasons:
consistently good food, excellent service, and the relative quiet and privacy that can be had at the resto. Plus it is within wheeling distance for me.
No less than the chef helped me in my wheelchair negotiate the pathway to the resto, reassuring me that it was no problem for him to take on the task even as I demurred that he shouldn’t. He apologized for the inconvenience and said they were setting up gazebos that would make it easier for people like me to enjoy Ninyo.
The slight inconvenience is no big deal for me, actually, because Ninyo feels like family and when one is with family, those little things are mere trifles one quickly forgets/dismisses and need not agonize over.

By the way, we were fortunate enough to enjoy a sample of the Valentine’s day menu. In lieu of the wasabi oysters, we were served theSALAD

Duck pastrami wrapped in rice paper with mixed greens, bleu cheese and lychee caviar drizzled with hoisin vinaigrette: it’s the one pictured in the right)

It was so good I ate every morsel of it, the mixed greens included. My sisters and our guest were fascinated by the lychee caviar. And everyone marveled at the plating of the entrees that were, as usual, works of art.

Thank you, Ninyo and Edna, for accommodating us yet again, even as we went overtime. Not once did we feel as though we had to leave because the resto had to close after lunch. Thank you to the servers as well.
