Decided not to go out today so ordered lunch from Alba’s: paella negra, bacalao a la viscaina, gambas, salpicao and cuchinillo. The Paella negra – I prefer Barcino’s although Alba’s has more squid and even has shrimp. Bacalao I didn’t try but son said it was salty. I read before that bacalao is truly salty so… the gambas I wasn’t oo happy with; our version at home is better (yabang). Salpicao was tough! And the cuchinillo – they give three portions. The skin was not as crisp as a few days ago but among all those we ordered, the cuchinillo was the best.
Will rest from ordering from Alba’s a bit for now.
