Leche Flan with cream cheese

Found this in FB. I love leche flan, I love cream cheese. But when I make leche flan, it’s with 6 egg yolks and 2 whole eggs. The recipe I found has 5 whole eggs.

Another difference: the recipe I use has just condensed milk and water; this one has condensed milk and evaporated milk.

  1. This recipe is good, not airy. But let me share what I did:

    a. Vanilla – less than 1 tbsp rather than 2 tbsps
    b. blender all the way. As the entire mix is a bit too much for just one llanera, I used four, each with 1/3 c of caramelized sugar.
    c. It isn’t very sweet. Maybe next time I’ll add tbsp sugar to the mixture before blending.

  2. Which recipe do you normally use? I like the one of Pat LImjuco Dayrit, the one I was citing in this post. Di siya porous! You want me to share that? Yun nasubukan ko na.
